I’ve long wanted to visit the "Historic Berching“. Some years ago I’ve seen a very short report on the Bavarian TV about it, and for years I passed the brown highway sign „Historic Berching“ on my way down the highway A9. On May 12, 2015 I had time and desire - and - I had to free my mind, so I seize the opportunity. I switched my SatNav to „Motorcycle“ and „Beautiful Route“ and rode on.
The SatNav took me from Fürth over Schwabach, Roth, Freystadt onto the Interstate B299 where I turned off right and suddenly I found myself in Berching.
This small town Berching is definitely worth seeing. Small but nice !! A small town which still is partly surrounded by walls with battlements. In the front of the hotel "Blaue Traube" both the Notables and the Youth meets at the „Stammtisch“ and you literally feel the serenity Berching radiates while strolling through the streets and narrow alleys.
Because of the great weather, I also couldn’t help to take a little break at one of the tables in front of the hotel for a little drink and some refreshments before heading back on the same way home - with really a clear mind. 
Unfortunately I haven’t had my GPS tracker with me, therefor, for this trip, only a Google-Maps image exists.
