In April, during the Easter holidays, Frank and I packed up the suitcases and went to England. Our main destination was Scotland. From Munich, we drove off to Calais. After the exciting crossing by hovercraft, we arrived at Dover in the evening. We drove towards London...

and looked forward to a Bed & Breakfast overnight option on the way. The next morning we went on heading north to Edinburgh, where we met with an old schoolfriend of mine who graduated from his apprenticeship as a hotel manager. We stayed here a few days and visited all the sights of this area. From here we drove through the famous Firth of Forth Bridges to the Highlands. We made a detour to the now world famous Eilean Donan Castle. (For those who it should still do not know ... Here the Highlander films with Mel Gibson were filmed). We drove through the varied Glenn's and Loch's both to enjoy the great scenery and to make impressive photos. Of course, the visit of the most famous Loch should not be missed - Loch Ness. Unfortunately we couldn't see Nessi. On the way back to Dover we stopped at Stonehenge to make a few great photos of Stonehenge with a thunderstorm backdrop. Then we went back to Munich.
