In April 2002, we headed to Italy for offroad activities. Frank had recently found a great area at Meduno for that. There are great river beds, where one (if it has not rained just before) can swish around ...
Because of driving through San Daniele, fort he evening we bought the famous San Daniele ham. Late in the afternoon we arrived in Colle and looked for a good access to the river bed of Meduno and a slightly higher place where we could set up our camp. Thank God we had a sufficiently high point found, because right after we had set up our camp a violent thunderstorm came up, which lasted until the morning next day. Due to this we had plenty of water around us. But as fast as it came so fast it disappeared again, so that we still could do some Off Road Driving in the riverbed.
When we had abated us enough we made our way to Lago di Caselve. The way up there was very scenic. At the Lago di Caselve we looked at the dam, before we even went here to Off Road terrain around the lake.
After all the great scenic impressions and our Off Road Excursions in Italy we returned slowly back and drove back towards home.
